Description:
Join the B.Willow team as a retail sales associate and marketing assistant. Hire will support daily retail operations while executing assigned marketing tasks that increase visibility, foot traffic, and in-shop service bookings. This role focuses on consistent execution both in-shop and online, following established guidelines and direction. Retail and marketing experience required.

  • Required Experience

    • Strong plant knowledge and customer service skills

    • Social media & marketing experience

    • Retail experience required

    • Comfort using Instagram and basic digital tools

  • Main Duties

    • Operating register

    • Restocking and cleaning

    • Intaking deliveries, including items up to 50 pounds (e.g. soil)

    • Merchandising (ensuring plants and products are well displayed)

  • Plant and Floral Care:

    • Ensuring plants are healthy and suitable for sale

    • Watering, pruning, and proper placement throughout the shop

    • Interest in learning more about plants

    • Ensuring bouquets are healthy and well maintained

  • Customer Assistance:

    • Answering basic plant care questions

    • Assisting customers with gift selections

  • Marketing Assistant:

    • Capturing routine content around the shop

    • Creating and posting social media content (posts, reels, stories)

    • Photographing plants, products, in-shop services, and events

    • Maintaining routine social media posting consistency

    • Hanging flyers around the shop and local area

    • Assisting with basic website, email, and Google Business updates

    • Supporting marketing initiatives as directed

  • Expectations

    • Reliable shop floor coverage during open hours

    • Professional, customer-focused communication

    • Ability to follow direction, brand guidelines, and meet deadlines

    • Interest in developing marketing execution skills over time

  • Scheduling

    • Part-time, 16-20 hours per week

    • Weekend availability required

    • Additional hours dependent on shop events and scheduling needs

    • Ability to pick up additional retail shifts in the future or as needed

    • $20/hour starting wage
