B.Willow provides hands-on, private terrarium-making workshops hosted in our upstairs Baltimore studio space or off-site at your venue. With over a decade of experience leading plant workshops across Baltimore and the DMV area, our team creates engaging, memorable, and educational experiences tailored to your group.
Whether you’re organizing corporate team building, a birthday party, bridal shower, or baby shower, we customize every session to fit your event style. We’ve had the pleasure of hosting workshops for top regional companies and institutions, including Under Armour, Johns Hopkins University, T. How it works
1. Choose Your Venue: Host your event in our upstairs Baltimore studio space or have us bring the workshop directly to your office, home, or venue.
2. Select Your Format: Pick from three flexible event styles tailored to your group size and flow (Classroom, Walk-Up, or DIY Kits).
3. Pick Your Terrarium & Plants: Customize your experience by choosing glass container styles and plant varieties (tropicals or desert succulents).
4. Reserve Your Date: Fill out our inquiry form. Once logistics are confirmed, we send a digital contract and invoice. A 50% deposit secures your event date.
Event Formats & Teaching Fees
Classroom Style
Best For: Sit-down group events, team-building sessions, and social celebrations where everyone learns together.
Setup: All guests are seated; 1-2 instructors lead step-by-step guidance and provide hands-on help.
Duration: 45-60 minutes.
Walk-Up Style
Best For: Larger groups (20+), drop-in corporate events, cocktail hours, or parties with multiple activities.
Setup: 1-2 stations accommodate 4-6 guests at a time for quick, 5-15 minute one-on-one sessions.
DIY Kit Style (No Instructor Required)
Best For: Self-guided activities, remote events, or casual off-site gatherings.
Includes: Complete terrarium materials and clear instruction sheets provided in kit form.
Kit Prep Fees: $75 (up to 25 kits) | $100 (25-35 kits) | $150 (35-50 kits).

Additional Time Fees:

Unlimited (40+ guests may require custom setup)
Event Minimums:

Venue Details & Policies
Hosting Above the Shop (Upstairs Studio)
Hours & Availability: Available 7 days a week (9:00 AM – 10:00 PM). Events must be private and invite-only (not publicly advertised).
Space Size: Upstairs studio is ~300-325 sq ft (18’x18’). (For larger standing events up to 55 guests, ask us about a full downstairs shop rental!)
Setup Provided: Tables, chairs, grey tablecloths, and access to our kitchen (fridge, sink, countertop space). Guests may bring their own linens if preferred.
BYO Food & Drink: Hosts are welcome to bring outside food, beverages, and alcohol. (No food, dishes, or glassware provided).
Clean-Up: Hosts must clean up kitchen use, return room to original state, and remove all event trash.
Rules: No smoking permitted. No candles (except birthday cake candles).
Accessibility Note: Our upstairs studio is not ADA accessible and requires using a staircase.
Hosting Off-Site (Your Office or Venue)
Setup: B.Willow sets up and cleans up the workshop completely. We can supply up to 4 folding tables if needed; hosts must provide chairs.
Scheduling: Off-site workshops must have a specified start time, even if taking place during a larger event.
Large Groups (40+): Access to a projector/AV screen for slide presentation is appreciated for large classroom formats.
Tier 1: Small Containers ($16 – $27 per person)
Ideal for standard team events, schools, and budget-friendly parties. Includes 1-2 tropical or succulent plants.
Tier 2: Medium-Sized Containers ($30 - $38 per person)
Perfect for beginners, great for desert or tropical plants. Inches reflect diameter of container.
Tier 3: Large & Specialty Glass ($44 – $56 per person)
Great for statement pieces and executive events. Includes 3–4 plants.
Tier 4: Deluxe Statement Flasks ($90 – $102 per person)
Premium multi-plant terrarium setups. Includes 5-7 plants.
