Engaging the Senses: Exploring the Role of Nature in our Lives

Join us for the first installment of Engaging the Senses, taught by B.Willow owner and founder, Liz Vayda. Scheduled after the shop is closed, this event will be a multi-sensorial experience, which will leave you feeling revived, relaxed and inspired. Engaging the Senses will be lecture/discussion/meditation-based, centered around the theme of incorporating more natural elements into one’s live, as a means for stress reduction specifically, but for general physical and mental health benefits as well.

There’s legitimate data out there that links time spent breathing in phytoncides (a substance emitted by plants & trees and generally means the aroma of the forest) produces more killer white blood cells in the brain. So, walking in the forest doesn’t just feel good, it’s literally healing us in the process. We will explore several examples of the healing power of nature, in a way that will profoundly alter your understanding of the “more than human world” that we’re each part of.

Sip on a healing tea blend brought to you by Katelyn from Hey Thanks Herbal Co, and let your sense of smell be invigorated by a special Japanese hinoki cypress and North American evergreen room spray by Priya Means Love. You’ll leave this event feeling completely refreshed, with a new appreciation for the role that nature can play in your life. Plus, you’ll take home a 10 ml bottle of Priya’s room spray, notebook, and a half ounce blend of tea from Katelyn!

This event has been a long time in the making, and we can't wait to see you there!

$25 tickets includes room spray, notebook and tea.
